Effect of long time away

It is clear that the the long absence from the classroom has led to many student forgetting a lot of maths. This applies to those who were my best students before the shutdown almostr as much as those who were struggling.

I am having to do much revision work, even with my best students, than is normal after the summer break. It does usually come back to them but I can see this year being a struggle for students tocover all the ground and to show their true ability.

Face to Face

At the request of several parents. I have successfully started face to face using two machines (one student just uses her phone), a mini whiteboard and suitable distancing.
